Here it is... 37 weeks! That means as of today, only 16 more days until my due date!

So this last week has been pretty busy.  Ross was attending a week long training at Headquarters in Sacramento so I decided to tag along and hang out at my mom's house for the week with the pups.  Our dear Dakota had gotten spayed just before we left so she was on house arrest and restricted to leashed potty breaks.  Snickers on the other hand got to venture to the dog park and even got to swim in his kiddie pool at Vavo's house (grandma's).  I am so glad to be back home and enjoying this rare cool summer weather we have been having the past few days!

How far along? 37 Weeks
Total weight gain: up 31 lbs
Maternity clothes? oh yea
Stretch marks? none yet
Sleep: this past week's sleep has been horrible for sleep.  However I have been napping everyday.  I really feel like the end is coming and my body is preparing me for the transition.
Best moment this week: Finding out I am 2cm dilated at my appointment and relaxing at my mom's house for a last little "getaway".   I have also been pre-washing our cloth diapers to get them ready for when baby girl will use them. (I love the drying rack we bought!!!)

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach.  This side sleeping business is so overrated.
Movement: Still very active,  I don't know how since there is practically no room in there now.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: nope
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, my feet and ankles had been getting super puffy lately but just yesterday I noticed the puffiness went away! YAY!!!
Belly Button in or out? still flat as a pancake.  Will it ever POP? I am not sure.
Wedding rings on or off? Off/On.  Depends on the weather, hot days it is off, cooler days I put it on.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, Happy, Happy; anxious for labor and delivery, totally excited to see what she looks like.
Looking forward to:  My next appointment on Wednesday to see if there has been anymore progression.  Several people think she will come early.   I am just hoping I can make it through our friend's wedding and my former co-worker's bridal shower without my water breaking ;)  Of course I cannot wait to hold little miss in my arms!!!

ps. Does anyone think she has dropped?  I have been asked by others if she has, and honestly the heartburn is still raging and I feel her moving up under by chest still.  I know her head is down and the doctors can feel it at my appointments so maybe she is just a long baby...?

Have a great week!!

Couples Baby Shower = Lots of laughs

Couples Baby Shower Time!!!

My close friend from college, Cherie and my sister, Ky did such an amazing job hosting our couples baby shower!! The food was delicious, the cake- AMAZING, and the games were so much fun!  Can you guess what candy bar made the mess in that diaper?  How fast can you chug your beverage out of a slow flow nipple?  And we were blessed with many great items for baby girl!!

Here are a few pictures of the events that took place.

Ross trying really hard to suck his pink lemonade out of the slow flow nipple.

The boys after the bottle chug game.  Great job Greg and Temo!!

Rosemary and I

Tony, Me, Ross, & Rosemary

Strawberry cake decorated to match the baby shower decorations.
Cherie did an amazing job creating that cake!!

I am pretty sure everyone had a great time and I have to say I absolutely loved watching the boys play the bottle chug game.  I don't think many of them realized how hard it would be to get the beverage to come out of the slow flow nipple.  A few of them created their own techniques... squeezing the bottle and squeezing the nipple itself.  All in all the only dad in the group came out on top!  Way to go Greg!

Another great moment at the shower was getting to see two new babies I had yet to meet in person!  Krishawn's little girl Sophie (9wks) and Melody's little boy Titus (6wks)!   For those of you who don't know, Krishawn, Melody, and I taught together at the CSU Stanislaus Child development Center in the Infant/Toddler room.  Krishawn was the first of us to get married and the first momma of our group.  Melody was the next to get married followed by Ross and I.

Melody was the second one to get pregnant and when I was telling her our great news she suggested I call Krishawn because there might be something she had to tell me too.  Could you believe it, all three of us were pregnant at the same time!!!  Not just that, but we were all due within months of each other.   I can't wait to get the picture of all our babies together!

This year has been full of so many blessings.

We hope you are enjoying your weekend and wish you a very blessed week!

PS... I promise the 37 week picture and post is coming... It has just taken me this long to get the house back in order after getting back from Sac.

T minus 26 days!

How far along? 36 Weeks
Total weight gain: up 29 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes!!! Especially those elastic banded shorts from Old Navy, they are my favorite!!!
Stretch marks? none yet.. fingers crossed for the next few weeks. :)
Sleep: Still going strong, even on an airbed while camping I only woke up once each night to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Hearing the doctor say baby girl is head down and getting ready to go.  :)  Oh and our JUNC camping trip was pretty fun!
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my back, have I said that before ;)
Movement: lots of movement in the evenings and around lunch time.
Food cravings: SUSHI! While eating something else I blurted out, "I really want a Lion King Roll!"
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: a little bit of hip pain lately and the back is getting a little sore, probably from the weight baby girl has been putting on and will continue to put on.  Oh and those sneaky little braxton hicks that get me.
Belly Button in or out? Super flattie but not yet an outie.
Wedding rings on or off? off, just as a precaution but my band still fits.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Been pretty stinkin' happy lately. Now I have our diaper detergent I can really start prepping her things and doing lots of laundry in the next weeks.  I am feeling anxious for labor and delivery as I think any first time mom would be feeling.
Looking forward to: Our couples baby shower tomorrow with our awesome friends!! I am looking forward to getting her laundry done and put away.  We just got the baby gate and although I am not looking forward to whining dogs because they can't sleep with mom and dad I am excited to get them ready for the changes that will occur when baby girl arrives.

Hope everyone had a wonderful week and we wish you all a blessed weekend!

When will baby girl get here...we're taking guesses.

How far along: 35 weeks, 2 days ;)
Total weight gain: 25 pounds, as of our 34 week appointment
Maternity clothes: yes, except now my maternity jeans are not fitting.  It's all elastic banded shorts/skirts from here on out. :)
Stretch marks? none yet, still going strong!
Sleep: so far so good.  I am becoming quite the night owl and early riser.  My body must be prepping me for functioning on very little sleep.
Best moment this week: hmm.. buying a new couch! ha ha. No, really this couch is absolutely perfect.
Miss Anything? Eating seafood.
Movement: She is still very wiggly but I have noticed a slight decline in the amount of times throughout the day she moves.  She is still very active in the evenings.
Food cravings: Chinese food, taco salad and spinach dip (again).
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: sweet baby girl

Labor Signs: nope
Symptoms: HEARTBURN! agh.  A few braxton hicks, but not too many lately.
Belly Button in or out? in still!
Wedding rings on or off? on and off, depends on the weather.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Family Reunion on Saturday, ggoing camping this coming week, and our couples baby shower the following weekend!!!  So much fun to be had in the coming weeks!
PS. I can't wait to announce baby girl's name!!!

Hope you are all having a very blessed week and wish you a safe and fun weekend!!

41 more days!!!

How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain: I am up 25lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes, along with some soccer shorts, tank tops, and my maternity swim suit especially with these 100+ degree days.
Stretch marks? Not yet, and I am about to buy a second tube of cocoa butter cream!
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty good when we can get the house cooled down enough before bedtime, otherwise it's a struggle with the heat.
Best moment this week:  Setting up the Nursery!! We have the glider, dresser, crib, and changing table set up.  I haven't started washing anything though because I don't have the right detergent yet.

Miss Anything? Sitting for long periods of time.  At the A's game last night I paid for sitting and hour and a half straight :( oops.
Movement: Baby girl Hiccups like crazy all the time!  You can see my belly jiggle when she has them too, it's fun to watch!  I think she flipped sides because now I get a lot of jabs/kicks in my left side versus my right side that I had been getting for the past couple months.  I still don't think she is head down or dropped yet.  She is resting very high today, hence the heartburn.
Food cravings: Vanilla ice cream, and Mexican food, not together though.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Ha ha, just the skunk that is hanging around the property lately.  I feel like I have super sniffer powers. (I know my sense of smell is heightened, but really I would love not to smell skunk all the time)
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Still heartburn, and the occasional sciatica, but oh my I had my first real Braxton Hicks contraction the other day.  I actually asked Ross to time is because it was that strong!  It lasted for 1 minute and 55 seconds!  My body is definitely getting ready.
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie but very close to becoming a flattie. :)
Wedding rings on or off? I finally took my wedding band off because after a really hot day it got stuck so I decided to be safe and just keep it off until it safely fits again.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Somewhat anxious for labor and delivery.
Looking forward to: Holding baby girl and celebrating holidays like today with her!

Here are a few pictures of her nursery so far...
Just about each piece of furniture has sentimental value and has been passed down.

A beautiful hand-me down crib that is about 14 years old!!
Note the hospital bag to the right packed and ready just in case.

Oh and I also have a toy chest that has my name on it from when I was young.
I plan on sanding it down and painting Baby Girl's name on it.
(the same toy chest seen in our gender reveal pictures in the week 20 post)

The changing table came with the crib and can be flipped over to be a flat topped
dresser when the changing table is no longer needed.

The dresser on the left is my dresser from my childhood our family made together in the garage.
Each of my sisters has their own and now I have passed mine down to my daughter.
 *smile, and a little tear*

The infamous glider, I know I can always count on finding Ross in that chair!
Pretty soon he won't be holding his phone in it though, he'll be holding his sweet baby girl!
